After hanging out in the Old City part of town Sunday morning, I braved the St. Patty’s Day parade crowd and headed over to the Art Museum to meet G. and his parents for some cool urban photos. G. looked awesome in his SK8 gear and fit in perfectly. We hung out in the Waterworks section and then headed over and up the hill to the museum itself. I am ashamed to admit that this was my first visit to the museum area in the four years we have been here! Definitely some very cool shooting spots. We had sooo much fun running all around and going up and down stairs and looking for spiderman in my camera and we even capped off the trip with G.’s very first visit to the Rocky statue – a Philly tradition! All in all a great end to my shooting day
J. and C., hope you enjoy the shots!

I met up with S. and her adorable daughter K. for some photos Sunday morning. We got a great early start in the parks right around 3rd and Walnut – what has become my favorite part of the city for photographs. We had so much fun running and singing and dancing and taking pictures with little bear and kitty, and I loved watching and capturing the interaction between these two. From sloppy kisses to coming up with crazy sayings to make each other laugh you can just see the love between this mommy and daughter. So S. and K. I hope you had as much fun as I did — and K. – KETCHUP IN BETWEEN YOUR TOES!!!!!

Every girl should have some pretty stationery. Or personalized cards, announcements, etc. This is what Mary Carstens of Paper and Ink Studio specializes in. I have known Mary for over two years now from a photography board that we are both on and got to hang out with her in Vegas for a few days as well. Not only is she a cool person, she is a VERY talented person and her work is absolutely gorgeous. She puts together all invitations and announcements by hand, lines envelopes, etc. I ordered some notecards from her a little while ago and they are absolutely gorgeous. (Which reminds me, I need some more!) If you are looking for a beautiful, unique gift, or need announcements or invitations or the newly popular “call me cards”, I highly highly recommend her work.
