I had a session this morning with one of my favorite families. But this time it was a different session in that Lynn just wanted some nice quiet photos with her younger daughter, G., 15 months. We both know all too well, having older kids, that these moments when they are little are just SO fleeting and SO precious. And she wanted to capture them. When she first contacted me for the session we were worried that perhaps G., being 15 months old, would be just too curious about me, but that was not the case at all. And I got to do a session that I can already tell I absolutely adore. I love the emotion and the love in these two – they jumped out at me as I was looking quickly through the files.
Forgive the mixing of white and grey backgrounds here. I know it’s ugly but it is the overall look that I am going for. And what is that look? Greece. Well, at least summering in the Greek islands type of thing. I went with a blue and white theme with a splash of red. I saw the little girl’s outfit and loved it then saw the boy’s shirt and thought it was adorable (btw that is a faux-button shirt – it’s all one piece!). Then it was just a matter of mixing in mom and dad. Elegant, casual, refined, classy. (Except I’d do nice sandals on dad.) Love it!!
