Sophie | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

Baby Sophie decided to arrive a few weeks early, and only a very few short days after we did her mommy’s maternity session! Nick of time :)  I went out this past Tuesday for her newborn session and she was absolutely adorable!  Although we had a few little challenges to work around I was able to get some beautiful photos of her!!  We even got her pretty nursery in there as well as a kiss from big sister,  ::love::Family image with big sister kissing newborn on bedBeautiful newborn baby girl on pink blanket with pink and green hatNewborn baby with her father kissing herNewborn girl in beautiful pink, green and grey nursery

The D Family | Rhode Island Family Photography

Two years ago I did this little guy’s newborn session at five weeks old.  Mom and dad were in the middle of renovating their house and were living in an apartment downtown overlooking the river.  The house is now done, the baby is now two and their family is now perfect.  :)  I headed out to their place on the water for some photos, this time including mom and dad and big brother and sister in the shots.  It was So. Much. Fun.  Seriously, this family is a riot. Mom and dad are incredibly funny and big brother and sister are very very good with a two year old and more than willing to be totally silly when asked.  And little D?  Although under the weather a bit at our session, he is just adorable.   I am also possibly slightly obsessed with his curls!!  We did photos in their gorgeous backyard, on the swingset to recreate a photo from a few years earlier and since dad works for FGX, of course we did some photos wearing the shades.  ;)

It was SO great to see you again S & A!!  I’ll be in touch soon!

Audrey | Rhode Island Photography

I don’t know if I am even supposed to share these, technically.  But you know what, I am.  I don’t really care.  :)  Last weekend I got to go take some pictures of the gorgeous Audrey McClelland for a website that she is joining as the newest featured blogger (you’ve seen her on here before!).  The company asked for family shots and some shots of just her.  So out I went early Saturday morning and we did some lovely shots of all of the kids and her along with her husband, Matt (who is a fellow Steelers fan living in Pats country, yippee!)  With four boys under seven, I could not have ASKED for a better, easier shoot.  They were adorable and perfect.   The next evening, Matt started experiencing horrible stomach pains; he told Audrey it was like razor blades.  They took him to the ER thinking it was appendicitis or a really bad stomach bug.  After doing some tests and scans the news came back – a tumor by the colon.  He was taken into surgery the next day and the doctors removed a grapefruit sized tumor and resected part of his lower bowel and colon.  While they are still waiting for the full official biopsy reports, Audrey just said that it looks preliminarily like it is NOT cancer.  I have cried many times over this in the past week.  Matt is only 37.  With four gorgeous boys under seven and a sweet, beautiful wife.  Hearing that news from Audrey today was one of the best things I have heard in a very, very long time.  So as I said.  I’m not sure if I’m even supposed to share these.  But with this news I am too happy NOT to share.  This is such a reminder to hug your loved ones.  Tell them you love them.  Treasure every. single. moment.
