Jen | Rhode Island Professional Photography

I met up with this gorgeous mama on Saturday evening this past weekend.  Jen needed some new head shots for various things she is involved in.  On top of having three (gorgeous) daughters, she is one of the creators behind Rhody Mamas, writes a wonderful blog called Keekoin, is going to be the mommy blogger for Providence Monthly’s new website coming out soon AND is on a panel for a Conde Nast product launch.  Oh and she also does design work.  Whew.  She makes my life look easy!!!  We headed downtown for some quick shots and I have to say – if all head shots were like this I would do them ALL OF THE TIME. Not only is she gorgeous and sweet, but she was an amazing natural in front of the camera and it shines through in her photos.  :)

Long-Distance Family | Rhode Island Family Photography

The C. family drove all the way from New York for their session with me this past week.  No pressure or anything, really!!!  I think it’s the farthest I have had someone come – when I was in PA someone drove 90 minutes.  But these guys braved 95 through Connecticut.  And anyone that has driven that knows how lovely it can be.  But come they did, and with two absolutely beautiful little girls for me to photograph. When we were planning their shoot they said they wanted to use the RISD area since that is where they both went to school which thrilled me because I was itching for some urban!  They took me all over the RISD and Brown University areas of the city (boy did I get my workout!!!!) and we got some great shots before watching the sun set over the city as we walked down the hill back to our cars.  I had such a great time with them, little E. and C. were just great troopers and so cute.  It was great to see how much E. loves her little sister and how much love, even after a 2 hour car ride, they had for each other.  (And it was also great to see another set of siblings with completely different eye colors!)  E. and W. it was great to finally meet you guys!  Enjoy your photos and your precious little girls :)

Originally I set up to capture just little C. but when I saw mom’s expression I knew I had to get it in there.  What resulted is a top ten favorite moment ever.

Urban Style | Providence Family Photography

So as I posted on Saturday I began my Friday morning with the gorgeous Miss M. and her equally beautiful little sister, I. in downtown Providence.  Their mom, E. is the owner of the fabulous Weddingbelle NYC bridal shoppe in Warren and found me though a local board that we are both on.  Unfortunately little I. was feeling a bit under the weather and apparently had been so excited for our shoot that she had been awake since 3:30 in the morning.  SO, I’ll be going back to have another little session with just her in the next week or two.  But we still had a great time anyways and did manage to squeeze in some shots with her before she fell asleep snuggled up to daddy.

You know it’s going to be good when the girls show up in matching Daily Tea dresses and mom shows up looking like she just stepped off of a runway in a gorgeous coat from Rue La La (by the way, E., it’s www.theminisocial.com ;) )  We were all over the park next to Hemenway’s in downtown, playing peekaboo, tossing leaves, singing Taylor Swift, etc (yes, this is the first time I have sung Taylor Swift on a shoot!!).  I am sure there is a name for the park, but we just referred to it as that.  It was my first “urban” shoot here in Providence and I think I could grow to like it!   Thanks you guys for coming out on a less-than-warm morning, enjoy your sneak peek!!

I. is at the stage that Layne was a month or two ago where she is just constantly babbling and cooing and seems to be telling you stories.  I love that I caught her doing it :) E2

Mommy snuggles.  Love E.’s expression here, total love for her daughter.

No matter how big they seem to be getting, you are still reminded some times of just how very little and precious they still really are :)
