Engaging | Rhode Island Wedding Photography

I really am supposed to be blogging a wedding today.  But I just have so many images to pull together from it that I am passing it over for some shots from last night’s engagement session with the gorgeous Jessica and Sean instead.  Shhhhh.

After coming off of the amazing wedding on Saturday, I headed back up to Boston from Providence last night (I’ve been to Boston four times in the past three years – twice in the past three days – crazy!) to meet up with Kristina and do a walk through with Jessica and Sean.   Turns out that though they live in Boston, Jessica is from right here in RI – in fact it’s only about five minutes from where I am that she grew up.  (I say it over and over, New England is crazy small.)  We had gorgeous weather and of course had to take a few photos of them throughout the evening.  I discovered “that line of bricks” which turned out to be the Freedom Trail (history is not my strong suit) made for a delighful photo as did some other locations on the walk from their place to their wedding location.

It is going to be an AMAZING day, I can already tell.  Not only do we have gorgeous, adorable couple, but we have a stunning location.  Kristina and I have some ideas for photos that we can’t wait to do and I have a few shots of the groomsmen planned in my head so if we can all think good 75 degrees and sunny thoughts for August 21 I’d greatly appreciate it.  ;)

Jessica and Sean it was wonderful to meet you last night – we are SO looking forward to your wedding!!

John and Melissa – Married!!

So once again, I must admit that I was wrong.  That I really really loved shooting something I wasn’t sure ahead of time that I would love.

You may recall back in August I shot John and Melissa’s engagement session with my friend Kristina from Kristina Young Photography and fell in love with shooting engagements.  This past weekend, the two of us got together again and headed off to Boston and shoot their gorgeous evening wedding!  They got ready at the stunning Taj Hotel, married Saturday evening at the beautiful chapel at Old South Church in Boston and then had a reception at the gloriously chic and sexy Mistral restaurant.   (I’d tell you what part of Boston all of those were in but I honestly have no clue.  Back Bay?  Beacon?  Yep.  No idea.)  It was a beautiful, intimate ceremony followed by an awesome crazy party reception.  ;)   Kristina and I had so much fun working together and the evening flowed like a dream.  (Big kudos to Mistral for a completely flawless reception!)  There were a few tears, lots of laughter, surprise trumpeters, an ovation from people outside the church and tons of great music and dancing just to name a few things.  Overall it was a beautiful, wonderful day.

Since I am not used to blogging weddings I am going to stop talking now (I know!  Unbelievable, right?!?!!) and just show you the pictures. (and make sure to check out K’s as well when they’re up HERE)

So without further ado…John and Melissa’s wedding, just a *few* of my favorites
