The feel of his little hand wrapped around your finger. The way she is getting closer to your height every day. The teeniest, tiniest, most perfect toes you’ve ever seen. The college mailers covering your table.
You don’t realize it, but you’re living in the most amazing time. This life – your life – here and now might not be perfect but it’s perfectly you. And I specialize in photography sessions for people who understand and appreciate that. In my sessions there is no stiff posing or uncomfortable clothing or “say cheese” in sight. I will not make anyone look at the camera and I certainly will not make your kids stand still and smile. Instead, I take the concept of “the perfect photo” and instead make it perfectly you.
I specialize in on-location lifestyle maternity, newborn, family, and senior photography for all of Rhode Island as well as most of of Massachusetts and Connecticut. My clients choose me over and over again because they want gorgeous, fun, happy, natural, relaxed images of their pregnancy, or their new baby, or their family, or their graduating senior. They want to leave their session with the feeling of coming home. The feeling of having made a new friend.

Welcome to Amy Ro Photography – where I believe that photography is so much more than just pictures on paper. Where I believe anyone can take a photo. But where I also believe it’s about capturing the connection and love of your family for you to look back on as your kids get older and your family grows and changes.
I’ve been doing this for 18 years now and after all this time, my goals are simple. When you see your images no matter where you are in life, I want you to instantly come back home. To remember these awesome fleeting moments. To relive the indescribable joy you feel right now. As the mom to a college student, I know how fast it goes, how much you forget, and how much I would give to relive it all.
What to Expect

booking
The first step is to decide if I am the right photographer for you. My sessions are filled with laughter and hugs and smiles and connection with each other. They are not filled with your connection with my camera. There will be some images looking at the camera, but it won’t be many.

session
Your session will be at a location of your choosing at a date and time that work for both of us. For most outdoor sessions, this will be early morning or early evening. For newborn and in home sessions it can be anytime! We will spend about an hour together capturing beautiful natural images.

gallery
Within two weeks (three weeks in peak fall season) all of the images from our session will be ready for viewing. You will receive a link to your private password-protected custom gallery with video and will then order your package and products within that gallery.
