After the maternity session has been done, and the baby has arrived, I know just how very quickly those first few weeks go by, and I pride myself on being able to give clients beautiful images that capture all of the details, big and small, of that oh-so-fleeting period of time.  Alongside just the still images, however, I also offer custom films that can be created for every client fusing still and video into beautiful pieces of art.  More than just still images, these videos are wonderful keepsakes of the first days of your baby’s life.

My style combines timeless newborn photography with loving images of newborns and families in their homes. New families in their surroundings are allowed to shine through in my work which features a mix of some traditional baby-only images as well as images with family throughout the home. You are just as likely to see a baby swaddled on the bed as you are a beautiful portrait of a new mother cradling her baby in her arms in the nursery. Clients love the personal, boutique feel of a session with me, and love the fresh approach I bring to newborn photography.  (See some of their kind words here!!)  My goal at your newborn session is to provide you with beautiful, one-of-a-kind images of your precious new baby and your family.

After more than seventeen years of photographing newborn sessions all over Rhode Island, Boston, Massachusetts, and Connecticut, and having three children of my own, I am very comfortable working with newborns.   My years of experience allow clients to relax and know that they are in the best hands, something that is invaluable in the craziness that is the first few weeks after giving birth.  I have often joked that my degree in psychology has come in far more handy than I ever thought it would because my sessions go beyond just taking photos.  If I am asked to describe my brand or my philosophy of business it’s simple – it’s like coming home.  Every client becomes a part of my family.

Newborn sessions traditionally are done within the first two weeks, however, with my more lifestyle approach to sessions, it is very easy to go up to four or even six weeks of age with newborns.  And my unique location in the northeastern corner of Rhode Island allows me to photograph clients not only in Rhode Island but through Massachusetts into Boston as well as into parts of Connecticut.  All newborn sessions are done in the comfort of your home and I bring everything that I need with me – you need to do nothing other than be home.  I will arrive at your house with everything that I will need during the course of your session.  (And you are always welcome to contribute special items to the session as well!)  Newborn sessions typically last two to three hours and you will receive a sneak peek on either my Facebook Page or blog that very same day.  Please contact me with any questions – I so look forward to meeting you photographing your brand new family!
