Amy was so amazing to work with. I had the pleasure of 3 sessions with Amy ( maternity, fresh 48 and newborn). Amy instantly makes you feel comfortable and relaxed. She is wonderful with children of all ages. We have a very energetic toddler who likes to be silly, Amy was always so gracious and able to engage and/or redirect our daughter to capture a beautiful shot. I’m so grateful for the beautiful maternity photos that Amy captured of my daughter and I. To have those last photos of just the two of us before baby arrived is priceless. Amy also includes a video with her photography, the video she captured of our daughter meeting her brother in the hospital (just 13 hours after he was born) for the first time is something we will cherish for a lifetime. We couldn’t be more thrilled with all the photos and videos Amy captured for us!

Our family has been working with the incredible Amy Ro for so many years, we’ve lost count! And there is a reason why; she is simply amazing. She not only captures the love and energy of every single family member, she catches those pure organic moments when we aren’t even aware she’s shooting. All of our best family photos come from Amy! We started with a newborn session and have now been coming back to her again and again for nearly ten years. We love that we can be ourselves- relaxed and out in nature- and still end up with a product that looks like it took hours of calibrating studio lighting to get the perfect shot. The sessions are always fun and laid back and Amy always makes us look like our best selves. We also appreciate that she doesn’t rely on digital photography tricks that will look dated in ten years. Her photos are technically perfect, heirloom quality, timeless! We love her!

As an interracial couple, it can be difficult to find the right lighting to complement everyone in the picture; however, Amy accomplished this flawlessly. She also made us feel very comfortable during the entire session and it shows. She was very communicative leading up to and during our session, flexible with timing and location, and captured the most beautiful pictures of us and our son! If we could fly her to us to capture every life event from here on out, we would!

Our experience was wonderful! Amy is such an outgoing, sweet person! She really knows about lighting, best poses, and has a great eye for her craft! I appreciated her candid personality as it made our experience more low-key and comfortable. We had a great time and the pictures were very sharp, crisp, and easily accessible! I cannot express how amazing Amy is! My daughter and I had a shoot with her this past autumn, and not only are the pictures absolutely beautiful, but we had so much fun! We laughed and giggled, and as we did Amy captured stunning candid moments. You can see our love for each other oozing out of each shot. My daughter even remarked after the shoot that she enjoyed it so much that she now wants to be a photographer! After trying department store photographers when my children were younger, and paying for portraits that were hit-or-miss, we have been fortunate enough to have had our holiday photos taken by Amy Ro the past couple years. When we were leaving our first session, my kids immediately asked if we would be going back the next year because they had so much fun. After seeing the pictures, I agreed. They are by far my favorite photos of my kids, as Amy truly captured their unique personalities and real smiles.
