Sometimes, we become friends with our clients.  It happens.  Sometimes you just click with them when you first meet them and the relationship takes off from there.  Sometimes they are already known to you through other sources so it makes the clicking easier.  But I love when it does happen.  It brings something deeper to your photos with them.  They aren’t just your clients anymore, they are people you have a relationship with.  In some ways, that is TERRIFYING!!  What if you mess up?  What if you do a bad job?  What if your photos aren’t as good as they were the time before?  Heart palpitations I tell you.  But most of the time, it is very relaxing and enjoyable.  Driving to a session where I already know them I am not keyed up.  I don’t have to play “Bleed It Out” by Linkin Park in the car to get me going (really, I do that 😉 ) because I know if nothing else I am going to have a great, relaxed time with them while shooting.    Liz and Sean are those people.  Their first session was a little over two years ago for their first son, Jackson.  Then a year later, we did a family session when Jackson turned one.  (seen HERE) And this time?  It was to welcome in baby brother Max.  After driving to Connecticut for their session, Max continued the wonderful tradition of his big brother by not making a peep the entire time I was there.  It was a gorgeous day so we did the photos right in the enclosed breezeway (and needed no additional heat!) and then did family photos outside.  I was in out and done in under two hours because Max slept the entire time.  I think I saw his eyes once.   It was so great to see them as their complete little family.
