Rachel – 32 weeks | Connecticut Maternity Photography

For anyone that has followed my blog for a while, you have seen this family before 🙂 John and Rachel are some of our closest friends – John was the best man at our wedding and my husband was a groomsman at his. Although we don’t get together nearly as often as we want to (and should!) we try and make time when we can. So far I have gotten to do maternity, newborn and six-ish month portraits with their family with their first little girl, Veronica….

Well now, they are expecting girl #2 at the end of August! We are so incredibly happy for them and I am so SO happy I could do these shots for them when we were in Connecticut for the Fourth of July. I took them down to the rocks and beach area on the Long Island sound for a quick sunset shoot and it was everything I had pictured in my head. Much much love to this family. <3

Felix – 8 Days | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

I first met the D. family a few years ago when big brother was only a little 7 month old and since then we’ve met up two other times for two other sessions, including a maternity session a short while ago…

And then…well then gorgeous baby Felix was born. Being my fourth session with this family, along with having had dad in one of my classes that I teach, I already had a wonderful bond with them. There is something about being continuously invited into people’s lives – I’ve said it before – it is such an amazing feeling. You get to know them so well and hanging out with them never feels like work. It’s more like fun (especially when you get to play Buttons and Bugs on mom’s iphone with big brother while waiting for a nursing baby! 😉 ) I know mom especially has been excited for these, so no more talking. They know how much I adore them all. Onto the photos!!

The S. Family | Rhode Island Family Photography

I have been photographing the S. family for a few years now. I first met them when big sister was an only child (!!) and we’ve done two or three different sessions since then. It was been WONDERFUL to see them grow and to see the family of four they have become. Such a cute, loving family!! It is especially neat to watch C. grow as a big sister and to see little sister grow into a little girl with her own personality 🙂

Ema 10 Days | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

A few days before Christmas I set off for the day to Connecticut to photograph adorable 10 day old Ema. I also did big sister’s newborn session in July of last year (see HERE). Mom was, up until they moved to Connecticut a few weeks ago, both a friend and my OB-Gyn (and my husband’s coworker in his old practice). So we have lots of connections. 🙂 Ema was just about perfection as was big sister. Although not too keen on getting her picture taken with just her new sister, we did get some adorable family shots. And of course, my favorite – mom and dad shots too. Love love love everything we got!!!

Lucy | Rhode Island Family Photography

I have been taking photos of Lucy and her family since she was just seven days old. (They are still to this day my sample newborn album.) A teeny tiny thing grown into this amazing, vivacious, talkative, expressive little girl. This time mom and dad wanted to update her infamous “dream” newborn photo with some big girl room images. I knew the shoot was going to be amazing because I know mom and dad but I was overwhelmed when I walked in and saw this adorable little girl in this adorable winter wonderland of a bedroom. Heart palpitations, people. Perfection. And Lucy?? Amazing. Her parents? Amazing. I am so in love with this family. And I know it seems like I gush a lot over certain clients, but when you’re on your fourth, fifth, sixth,whatever shoot with them, you have developed an awesome relationship. I feel so so privileged to be invited into their lives over and over again and to be able to capture this slice of their lives. <3
