I had my very first session back after shoulder surgery last week.  I will admit, I was a little nervous about it!  Would I easily slip back into the groove, would my shoulder hold up, would my equipment be too heavy?  Luckily, Jack and his mom and dad made it incredibly easy on me.  They win the award for most relaxed, well-adjusted first time parents ever.  Ever.  And I have met many, many first time parents.  (Their siamese cat, Piper was not so relaxed – she watched me the entire time!)  Sweet little Jack was 14 days old the day of our session – right on that cusp of being sleepy and being awake.  He did awesome and gave us some great shots of both!!  And he had all of those newborn details, the flaky skin, the wrinkles, the fuzzy shoulders….ahhh….how I missed it so.  Today, an extra huge sneak peek for my first one back.  Two more newborns in the next two weeks coming up, yay!  I’m back.  🙂
