Some dear wonderful friends of ours came into town this weekend and I met up with them this morning for photos.  Mom wanted to do them on Brown’s campus which I was thrilled about because no one ever wants to do a session there and it is to DIE for gorgeous and the leaves are in their last days of peaking.  They are driving back to CT now but for when they get home, I thought I would put two images up for them to see.  Just beautiful.  And can you believe that she is 26 weeks pregnant??  Amazing.

I have gorgeous clients.  I say this a lot to myself, and sometimes out loud.  I have really beautiful people that come to me.  My session on Monday was certainly no exception!  Scheduled last Thursday when mom realized that everyone would be home, the B. family met me at Roger Williams for some family shots Columbus Day afternoon.  Mom and dad and their three girls aged 2, 4 and 6.  Absolutely stunning.  All of them.  I cannot believe that mom has had three children and I cannot believe dad isn’t grey 😉  And the girls, well, I was telling my mother that rarely have I seen such an example of sisters who looked so different but SO similar.  It was like three totally different beauties but all clearly related to each other – especially when they got together!  Seeing them giggle and play and, yes even argue a bit, totally brought me back to growing up with MY sister (who is another example of so different with her tan skin and blond hair).  I had a lot of fun with them – you’d think it would be difficult with three kids to keep up your energy but it was so so easy! These girls were pros 🙂

Thank you for a delightful afternoon, B. family!!  Enjoy!

I will admit it.  When I found out that J. had tattoos at their maternity session, I began stalking them.  I have dreamed of a tattooed dad with newborn shot for months now.  MONTHS and months.  Most dads are not even willing to take their shirts off for photos but some do.  But that gorgeously built tattooed arm was what I was seeking.  And I found it.  And thankfully A&J agreed to it 🙂  And not only that, but it turned out that they had an awesome house with neat little details (including a dining room that was just awesome, country but crate and barrel country style)  and on top of it all, a beautifully perfect baby girl.

I know they have been waiting and I have a bunch of editing to do before vacation so here is the gorgeous miss M!! And yes, that last shot is one of my all time favorites.  Ever.  It was SO worth the stalking 😉

Remember when you were in middle school and you would get asked if you “Liked Johnny” or if you “LIKED liked Johnny?  There are some clients I just adore.  I will admit it.  I have my favorites.  I do.  (And I think that anyone who says they don’t is lying.)  That doesn’t mean I like my other clients less at all, I just have…people I LIKE like.  The C family is one of those families.  One of my first clients here in RI, I met them over a year ago to do family pictures of their little girls.  You might remember them…

And September of 2009

They must have like liked me as well because on Sunday we met up for some family pictures once more.  It was awesome to see how the girls have grown and have gotten even more beautiful.  I actually did not recognize them at first when I saw them walking in the parking lot at Borderland State Park because I thought that there was no way they were that big – but they were!!  Sweet little S. turned 2 the day of our Session and A. is a totally adorable firecracker of a five year old.  So many times during this shoot and in looking at the photos after I kept thinking “this picture is TOTALLY five.”  Or “this is SO what a two year old is.”  It’s just those ages.  Those awesome, fun, adorable ages.  One on the verge of being a supermodel posing and one not quite ready to let go but so wanting to be like her big sister.   🙂  We had fun traipsing all over Borderland – even hitting some areas I had never made it to!

Mom and dad it was so great to see you guys again, enjoy the sneak peek!!  And I TOTALLY blame you (nicely) for our having tacos for dinner that night!

I met the absolutely adorable P family this past Sunday for some photos at Colt State park.  We were originally supposed to do the photos last week but Tropical Storm Slightly-Windy-Weather-Event Hurricane Earl disrupted our plans.  Ah well.  We still got to do the pictures and I am SO glad.  We had such fun – there was rock throwing, playing in the sand, jumping off of rocks, climbing on stone walls, playing in tall grasses – everything a kid loves to do and everything a photographer loves to catch.  🙂  The kids did great as did mom and dad and mom really rocked the outfits out!  Perfectly coordinated shades of navy with splashes of pink.  Awesomeness.  And dad with the super cool navy converse – I have to say, usually I tell people not to wear sneakers to a session but when it’s stylish awesome sneakers, it really totally works.

I have had an impossible time narrowing down the proofs from this session.  Completely.  As a result you get a few extra sneak peek goodies to see!!  Enjoy!
