I could say a million and a half things about this family. I have probably said them all before here on other posts with them. Over six years now I’ve been photographing them in some form. And I’ve known Dani and Steve since big sister wasn’t even yet a baby bump. Dani was the first person to show me around Rhode Island when I came for a visit – one person I knew from a message board we were both part of. And like that, we were fast friends. Though they moved away to North Carolina last year, they came back this year for Thanksgiving with their families which meant I got to see them again. We met up the day after Thanksgiving for a session at Roger Williams park – a place I hadn’t shot at in quite a while. And similar to the rest of this fall, we were blessed with amazing weather for the session! (Crazy how gorgeous it’s been here!) It was so so amazing to see how the kids have grown in just a year and realize how much I missed them like crazy. We had so much fun and although it was late for the season we got some gorgeous light, some beautiful fall colors and leaves and some wonderfully fun family images. And (selfishly) as always, I got to most be myself and shoot unrestrictedly with them. Here are (more than) a few favorites from our session together.
Enjoy!

Newborn sessions are always one of my favorite kind of sessions – and thankfully people keep having adorable babies year round! (Since family sessions don’t happen very often between December and April.) I headed out last week to photograph this handsome little newborn guy at 10 days of age. As the newest of four absolutely adorable brothers, he was a total doll! Those lips and those cheeks and the rolls – just perfect. He also slept perfectly, and even when he was awake, he was just calmly checking out the world around him. Watching his brothers with him when we did their photos was so stinking cute – they kept calling him buddy and they couldn’t get enough of looking at him, and kissing him and just touching him. The one image below of the youngest brother looking at his little hands is definitely a recent favorite. And I have to share this. I was snuggling and soothing the baby the way I normally do to get him to settle when I looked up. Standing in the doorway was the youngest brother. He looked at the baby, looked at me and said “Actually, he’s our baby!” So cute! We even got to include grandparents in a few of the images since they were in town for the Thanksgiving holiday. I absolutely love being able to add in extended family if they’re visiting. There is something special about those images. Here are a few of my favorites from our session together.
Enjoy!

After trying to schedule this session for several months, I FINALLY got to meet up with this gorgeous family recently for their fall photos. Although a little later in the fall than typical sessions, the leaves for the most part had still held on AND we lucked out with some absolutely beautiful weather for November! I had SO MUCH fun with these guys oh my gosh were they a beautiful family!! Big brother with his 50s rock star look (mom said people tell her he reminds them of a young Elvis and I totally see it!) and little sister with her adorable curls and both of them with gorgeous eyes. And of course mom and dad so good looking and the whole family in love with each other! Ahhh! It was perfection start to finish. Here are a few favorites from our session together. Enjoy!!

Family sessions remain one of my favorite kinds, especially in the fall. I got to spend last Saturday morning with this awesome family of six at their home in Rhode Island. They were the winners of the silent auction package I had donated to honor another client who was chosen as the March of Dimes Citizen of the Year. We spent several hours at their house talking and laughing and, of course, photographing them with their gorgeous children. All four, from the oldest to the youngest were so, so adorable!! And the outfits mom had chosen were just awesome – how often do you see bowties on little guys?? Loved it!! Clearly baby A. is the princess in the family but seeing all of the kids together and that love that they all had for each other was so much fun. Here are a few favorites from our session together. Enjoy!
