After a few delays due to strep throat running rampant through the family, I finally got out to meet this sweet fifteen day old baby girl on Saturday morning.  If her family looks familiar it is because I did a regular family session for them back in the fall when mom was just barely pregnant.  And now they are four.  🙂  Hadley was absolutely beautiful and one of my squishier newborns at ten pounds AND she had a full head of hair!! ::love::  I love all of my newborns at all sizes but something about the bigger ones just melts my heart.  Big sister did great, you can tell she loves having a real live baby to play with in the house – and mom and dad were so loving with the two of them.  Of course dad has quite the work cut out for him down the road being outnumbered three to one with two gorgeous daughters!  (I should give him my dad’s phone number since it was the same in my house!)  

S. family it was great to see you again and see how you have grown into this gorgeous little family of four.

When I arrived to do Logan’s newborn session I was hoping that at 8 days old he would be wonderfully sleepy.  He had other ideas.  Instead of sleeping for me, he had slept the night before for his mom and dad.  Which, really, is totally fine.  But it did make it a challenge.  🙂  He was still perfectly adorable at 8 lbs with a full head of hair and big GORGEOUS eyes.  Some of my favorite awake photos ever came during this session (like the one of him looking over mom’s shoulder – LOVE!)  Of course we all know what an awake baby means – extra snuggling time for me!!  🙂 I never ever mind that part of it.  He was so calm and happy when he was awake and then eventually took two short naps which allowed me a few sleeping photos.  I truly love what we got though and I’m beginning to love the awake photos even more!

I met up with beautiful little Sophia and her parents earlier this week for her newborn shoot.  Although she came three weeks early and was three weeks and one day old at our session, she was still an absolutely perfect little model!!  She was just over six pounds and had the most beautiful head of dark hair and rosebud lips to just die for.  🙂  And she is obviously very, very loved.  I adore the shot of mom in her nursery and have some others I’m keeping as a surprise for their gallery  🙂
