Thirteen Days | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

This little cutie, Miss L was almost exactly two weeks old when I did a session with her two weeks ago.  Though she really didn’t want to sleep very much, she did let us get some absolutely adorable shots and I got to try the hammock shot that I have been wanting to do.  I like it, but I am not 100% sold on it.  But it was my first time doing it so perhaps if I keep trying it will grow on me.  It’s very late as I am writing this and I am very tired, so without further ado, the gorgeous Miss L  🙂

Perfect | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

Perfect.  There is no other word to describe the twins I had the absolute pleasure of photographing a week and a half ago.   Absolute perfection.  Both the gorgeous babies themselves and (more importantly for me) their session.  These two slept like a dream the entire time I was there.  I almost was in disbelief that it went SO WELL.  Whenever you book twins you worry that it will be twice the difficulty but this was just pure delight.  I could have sat there all day photographing them.  (Something I told the parents many many times throughout the session.)  Big sister T. and little brother L., having arrived five weeks early were three weeks old and just slightly over five pounds when I did their session and you can already tell how close they will be – L. loved snuggling up to his big sister.  When he was touching her, he was calm and she was happy.

There has been no narrowing down of proofs for this session – I just have too many that I absolutely love that the parents will be getting.  So there hasn’t really been a successful narrowing down of images for this sneak peek, either.  I tried.  Really I did but I wanted everyone to SEE them!  I’m not sharing the whole session, I won’t go that far 😉  But I wanted to show lots here…so just warning you.  Overload of sweet, adorable newborn teeny baby goodness is headed your way.

Precious Luke | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

So as I mentioned yesterday  – two 8 lbs 12 oz Lukes in two days.  Today – my second Luke.  Sara has a super special place in my heart in terms of clients because she was one of my first in my first year and continues to be one of my best.  And I mean that in terms of just being a great client.  She appreciates the art in photography.  This is the fourth time I have photographed her family.   She has a wall of photos from different sessions.  I think she has tol every person she knows about me.  She follows the biz page and leaves sweet comments and is friends with me on my personal page as well.  She has supported me from the first time we met.  I could go on and on. There are a handful of people from Philly that fit that select list and she is right at the top.  I have always counted myself lucky to have her in my (biz) life.   Plus her daughter is adorably cute and could really give Nolan a run for his money if they ever hooked up.  😉

Sara, Dave and Caroline it was great to see you guys again, I had so much fun!!!

Sweet Baby Luke | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

Two years ago (roughly) I did sessions for Kristen and Sara of their newborn baby girls.  This past weekend I returned to Philadelphia to do newborn sessions for them again.  It should be stated that Sara and Kristen don’t know each other at all and live about 30 miles or so apart and in different states.  It just so happens that both Sara and Kristen gave birth a few days early to boys.  Both weighing 8 lbs and 12 oz.  And named Luke.  Yes, both of them.  Same name, same weights, almost the same birth dates.  And both photographed by me 😉

First up today is Kristen’s Luke.  Utter perfection.  I lost approximately ten pounds during this session because I had the brilliant idea (since I had left my space heater in RI) to do the session on their screened in back porch.  Where it was 93 degrees.  Luke was very happy.  Me, well, let’s just say I had a really nice much needed shower when I got back to the hotel.  He did great though, and we also snuck in some pictures of big sis who I hadn’t seen since she was eight weeks old.  What a gorgeous gorgeous family these guys have made!
