As I mentioned before I went back photograph gorgeous baby C. in her house last week.  I have found myself doing more and more beanbag work with newborns and less lifestyle work and I really regret that.  When I walked into A. and J.’s house I knew immediately that I wanted to use some of it for the shots.  Their decorating taste is just absolutely perfect.  They have mixed Ikea, salvaged recovered pieces, art, Etsy and classic furniture all together in such a wonderful and classic style.  And I absolutely fell in LOVE with the nursery from the moment I opened her entry into my contest.  🙂  It was (is) so classic and minimalist and just serene and beautiful.  So when I went back last week for a second shoot, I had very specific images in mind that I wanted to get.  Here are the first two, more to come later this week since I’m out of town and scheduling ahead!  🙂

As I wrote last week before leaving on my trip to Pittsburgh, I got to photograph the beautiful and teeny miss C. last Thursday, all five pounds of her!   I spent a few hours with C. and mom and got some gorgeous shots and will be going back this week (today, actually!) to do some lifestyle shots in their gorgeous house!  She was a perfect angel the entire shoot.  So small, so delicate, so perfect in every single way!

I got to spend the afternoon with this GORGEOUS little five pounder in her unbelievably adorable house.  This is just one as I must go pack for my trip now but I couldn’t resist.  If you are a Facebook fan, there is a different image on there!   More to come possibly this weekend, possibly after I return on Monday.  Either way I have this beauty and an adorable six month old coming up!

I said in my last client sneak peek that being part of a gift certificate session was SO cool.  My session this past weekend was as well.  Baby G’s aunt contacted me about a month before she was born to set up a session for her sister-in-law and brother-in-law for their newborn.  She told me of a very loving incredible family ready to welcome their third girl.  But this time it was a little different.  Baby G. was going to be born with a heart condition – one that would likely require open heart surgery soon after she was born.  I was already set on doing the session but that pretty much cemented it.

There is something timeless and special about my job.  Photographers are freezing moments in time.  We are capturing things that will never come again. Stages that will be over before we know it.  And sometimes it becomes something even more important, something even more special.  You capture people as they will never be again in their lives.  Baby G came out absolutely perfect at four and a half pounds with a full head of hair and ten beautiful fingers and toes.  The doctors will continue to monitor her condition but are talking about surgery when she reaches six months of age.   Hopefully, ideally, in a perfect miraculous world, the condition will better itself and she will never need surgery.

I’m including more than I normally would here.  But I want to share these images of this beautiful little girl with you.  And I want to ask you to keep her and her family in your thoughts.  Let’s all hope that she gets better and never needs any surgery.  But if she does, that she will be so surrounded by love and good wishes…

This was my little teeny precious newborn baby girl G. this morning.  All four and a half pounds of her ::love::  My smallest newborn ever!!!  I had a very difficult time just picking one so I went with two…  More to come later along with her wonderful story 🙂
