If you are a Facebook Fan then you might have seen this last night (and if you’re not, really you should be so click HERE!)…

This is why you should forget what you feel like, forget how you think you look.  Forget that you might not have gotten three straight hours of sleep in two or three months.  Forget that you haven’t really put on makeup or had your hair or nails done in weeks or months.  Forget how tired you are.  Forget how frustrated you might be.  Forget that the house might be a mess or that you are sore from nursing or that you are upset because you can’t nurse.  Forget that you might smell like baby poop, or formula, or breast milk.  Forget that you can’t get back into your pre-pregnancy jeans yet.  Forget all of the things that are concerning or worrying or upsetting you.

And for one second, live in the moment.  Breathe in the smell of your newborn. Close your eyes and remember the moment you first saw your baby.

And when I ask, take a photo with them, I promise that you will never regret it.

Seven Days Sweet | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

This is Mr. B’s official introduction to the world — the first two pictures were just teasers 😉 Mom is a big fan of my work so for her baby shower, her coworkers surprised her with a gift certificate for a newborn session with me! I was super excited to come and meet them and do the photos since I had known for about three months that it would be happening. There is something so neat about doing a session for someone who really wants you to do their photos. To clarify, I know everyone who hires me really wants me to do their photos (duh!) or else they wouldn’t hire me, but to want something enough that other people get you a gift certificate for it – now THAT is just cool.

Mr. B was so cute and snuggly!! Seven days old and right around seven pounds. Perfect skin, gorgeous lips, fingers and toes, all the perfect little baby parts. And just so sweet. He slept so well, was nice and awake and quietly alert for a while, it was a perfect mix.  I got to use new hats, my new lens and just tried a few new shots.  LOVED it!!  And today I am going back for some extras, too – can’t wait!  Enjoy, C. family!!

I got to meet this precious little boy today 🙂  All of seven days old and soooo cute and snuggly.  A little peanut, too!  I get to go back and do a few extra fun shots later this week and I can’t WAIT!  But in the meantime, an extra sneak peek for mom and dad.  I was going to pick just one, really I was.  But I couldn’t choose!!

I put one up on Friday, but here are a few more of the sweetheart I got to spend Friday morning with.  I showed up to do the newborn session and found a gorgeous light-filled loft awaiting me.  🙂  Love me some good lighting.  And of course a beautiful, sweet and very wonderfully tempered baby girl doesn’t hurt either!  I spent three hours with little L and we got a great variety of shots.  Asleep, awake, curled up, stretched out, lots and lots of different looks.  I had an absolutely delightful time with L. and her mom and dad (and aunt!)  Enjoy the photos of this precious little girl – what more of a perfect way is there to start a Monday morning???
