Newborn sessions are always one of my favorite kind of sessions – and thankfully people keep having adorable babies year round! (Since family sessions don’t happen very often between December and April.) I headed out last week to photograph this handsome little newborn guy at 10 days of age. As the newest of four absolutely adorable brothers, he was a total doll! Those lips and those cheeks and the rolls – just perfect. He also slept perfectly, and even when he was awake, he was just calmly checking out the world around him. Watching his brothers with him when we did their photos was so stinking cute – they kept calling him buddy and they couldn’t get enough of looking at him, and kissing him and just touching him. The one image below of the youngest brother looking at his little hands is definitely a recent favorite. And I have to share this. I was snuggling and soothing the baby the way I normally do to get him to settle when I looked up. Standing in the doorway was the youngest brother. He looked at the baby, looked at me and said “Actually, he’s our baby!” So cute! We even got to include grandparents in a few of the images since they were in town for the Thanksgiving holiday. I absolutely love being able to add in extended family if they’re visiting. There is something special about those images. Here are a few of my favorites from our session together.
Enjoy!

I headed out to Providence about two weeks ago to photograph the gorgeous ten day old newborn miss Iris. I actually did big brother’s newborn session a little over two years earlier as well. It was beyond special to get to go back and photograph the new family of four! We got some absolutely precious images of big brother with Iris – some of my favorites ever in any session. <3 And Iris herself was just adorable. Though at only 10 days old she did fight me on sleeping for a while, she eventually gave some beautiful sleeping images as well. We also did some images with mom and dad that simply took my breath away seeing them on the LCD and then the computer. Here are a few of my favorites from our session together.
Enjoy! 🙂

About a week and a half ago I headed up into Massachusetts to photograph thirteen day old new baby sister Marin. This was not my first newborn with them. I also did big brother Jack’s session two years ago. It’s one thing I absolutely LOVE about my job! Not only being asked to come and photograph families, but being invited back in to document them over time. I simply adore watching my families grow and feel to honored to be asked to continue to photograph them. <3 Just like the last time, we did the session in their beautiful home which dad has worked hard over time to renovate since he’s an architect. (Side note: I love all of the little details of older homes!) And as for seeing now-big-brother Jack? Oh my gosh. Absolutely precious!!! He clearly loves his new sister! I love love loved seeing all four of them together and the beautiful family they have become. Here are a few favorites from our session together. Enjoy! 🙂

Last week I headed down to Pawtucket to photograph Ava, a nine day old newborn beauty. As was evidenced by the signs on the door (which, on a side note, made it SUPER easy to find their house!) she is clearly a very loved baby girl. Mom and dad were totally awesome as well. (Not only because dad went to Syracuse like me but just in general.) We got some beautiful images of just Ava, images with each of them individually, and images of all three as a family that just made my heart melt. One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing new families. Obviously couples are families. But when you add in that new tiny person – seeing that dynamic?? Awesome. And Ava and her mom and dad were a perfect, loving example of that. Here are a few of my favorite images from our in-home session together. Enjoy! 🙂
