Joanna was the winner of my Mother’s Day contest back in May, but we waited until August for their session.  We met a beautiful bright sunny morning a few weeks ago in Lincoln Woods for their quick mini session – I love this family!!  Always dressed well and super super cute together.

Sweet Clara was just eight days old when we did her newborn session last week.  When mom wrote to tell me she was expecting a baby girl, I was so excited!  I had done the newborn session for their little guy last year and now a little girl – perfection!  Clara, though, was determined to show her brother up by sleeping the entire time instead of being awake like he had done.  😉  I finished this session is pretty much record time, which is always nice (especially when you forget your camera battery in the charger, don’t have your extra one, and have to drive home and back not that that would EVER happen.  Uh-uh.)  We got so many beautiful images of just Clara (those cheeks and lips oh my!) and then a few family shots as well with big brother.  And of course I had to do one of just handsome mister C – look at those curls and eyes!  Congratulations, N family – she is the perfect little addition!!!
