Sweet Clara was just eight days old when we did her newborn session last week. When mom wrote to tell me she was expecting a baby girl, I was so excited! I had done the newborn session for their little guy last year and now a little girl – perfection! Clara, though, was determined to show her brother up by sleeping the entire time instead of being awake like he had done. 😉 I finished this session is pretty much record time, which is always nice (especially when you forget your camera battery in the charger, don’t have your extra one, and have to drive home and back not that that would EVER happen. Uh-uh.) We got so many beautiful images of just Clara (those cheeks and lips oh my!) and then a few family shots as well with big brother. And of course I had to do one of just handsome mister C – look at those curls and eyes! Congratulations, N family – she is the perfect little addition!!!

My camera gets really heavy, especially depending on the lens I have on it. And I learned right away that the straps that come with the cameras are crap. Well, that’s a touch mean, but really, they are not made for comfort; after a while they dig into your neck. Plus, it always bugs me that they just scream out Canon! or Nikon! in bright lettering.
