I am finally home from a FANTASTIC weekend in the Outer Banks with 10 other amazing photographer girlfriends. Here are two sneak peeks of the workshop sessions that we did while we were there! Many many more to come along with of course photos of the other girls!
And most importantly (to some of you!) the winner of the gorgeous bracelet is Molly. So Molly, please contact me and I will arrange to get this all shipped out to you! Thanks to everyone that entered and check back this Friday for the third freebie!!
First I start on a serious note. I would like to take a moment to remember those who lost their lives 8 years ago this morning. I will never forget where I was or what I was doing when I saw the news. My thoughts go out to all of the 9/11 victims and their families as well as the survivors.
So this, my friends, is a Super Special Freebie Friday. First, because I am actually, as you read this, on the gorgeous beach of Duck, NC in the Outer Banks with a bunch of other photographer girlfriends. But mainly it is because when I received this goodie in the mail I did NOT want to give it away. At all. In fact I considered selecting another piece to give away instead but decided to stick with my original plan. Unfortunately for me, it is a one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry with no repeats. I first saw this GORGEOUS bracelet after it was highlighted on Twitter by someone I follow. The artist behind it is Wendy T of Designs by Wendy T on Etsy. She is a local gal, from right down the road in Warwick, RI. She will also be at the Pawtucket Craft Festival this weekend if any of you locals would like to check out her other work in person. (Me, I am still eyeing THIS beauty for myself since I had to give the bracelet away.)
The official description on Wendy’s site is (was): a stretch bracelet and features 16mm genuine turquoise rondelles with jasper nuggets and a large brown bone bead accented by a brass chain with a brass filigree bead. My description – a gorgeous, earthy, fun, chunky bracelet. Perfect year round wear.
Once again, all you have to do to win is leave a comment. You may retweet or FB for extra entries (one extra per person) and this contest has a bonus and runs until midnight Sunday September 13 since I will not be back in the ocean state before then. As before, feel free to enter no matter WHERE you are – this is not restricted to local clients at all!
Happy Friday!! While this is normally always a reason to celebrate, it is a special Friday because it is the first of four (yes four) Freebie Fridays that I am doing on the blog!!
SO as the post was titled, Happy Happy! That’s because there are a few different things we are celebrating in our house. First it is a very special time in the Rogalski household because tomorrow is our son Nolan’s fourth birthday! Four years already that our little man has been around. We cannot believe how quickly these past years have gone! You think time goes by more quickly as you get older but once you have children, man, it just flies. So right now our house is awash is family, and Lightning McQueen almost as far as the eye can see. Cars decorations, Cars plates, Cars cups, Cars everything. And tomorrow the madness really begins as 30 or so people descend on the house for his party. Should be a blast! 🙂 Check back tomorrow for some photos and some old-to-new photos of the little man.
It is also an exciting time (okay, more for me than everyone else) because this marks two years that I have been in business! To celebrate a combination of the two, I decided to do giveaways on the blog to share in our excitement – and I picked four because that is how old Nolan is going to be. So make sure to check each of the next three Fridays to see what is up next. I have found some pretty cool things to give and you might notice that they all follow a certain color scheme which just *happens* to be both my business colors and my favorite colors in the world – blue, brown and orange!
First up is a gorgeous set of 10 blank folded note cards from Mary Carstens of Paper and Ink Studio. Mary is a friend of mine based out of New Orleans and does gorgeous stationery, invitations, etc. You may have seen her shop on Etsy or seen her highlighted on my blog before because I just adore what she does. These note cards measure 5×3.5 in Tiffany and come with matching envelopes. In today’s day and age of electronic everything, I think it’s important to still try and write things out by hand every once in awhile. It’s becoming a lost art. These note cards are blank so you can use them for whatever you’d like while you’re celebrating that lost art. Write a note to a teacher. Write a love note to your spouse (I am in favor of this option). Write a Thank You. Just write. 😉
All you have to do to be eligible is to leave a comment below! I’ll even give you one extra entry if you retweet or link to it on your Facebook page. Good luck! Contest will end tonight (9/4) at midnight!
