Can I say that I love this dress and am so happy it’s ALL MINE for when Layne is two or three. Okay…so that’s two years away. Whatever, I still love it! (and hey it photographs really well – bonus for a photographer’s kid 😉 )
As mentioned in yesterday’s post, I got a few past clients together with my own personal model (aka Nolan) for some pictures on Sunday. One of the most common questions from people is “What should we wear??” To answer this, I am working on a what to wear guide that I will send to clients and wanted a few different looks. Although that was the intent, I also got some gorgeous photos of some gorgeous kids. I am sharing a lot in these posts since they’re not really sneak peeks – although the moms haven’t seen them yet! I am also sharing where to get the clothes since, well, that is the point of the shoot!!
First up for today, Miss S. and mister E. S. was my very first client EVER almost two years ago 🙂 and E. is my friend Bernadette’s son, another phenomenal photographer in Philly.

Every once in a while you take a shot and just know it’s A SHOT. One that will just be what you pictured in your mind’s eye when prepping for the session, one where all the elements – lighting, surroundings and subject all come together. This is one of those. Even though this session was for a clothing guide (more sneaks tomorrow!!) this shot took my breath away the moment I saw it…

My last session in Providence was a rain out. Literally 🙂 Originally I was going to do the photos for P somewhere outside. And then came the rain. So we were going to do another location, but it turned out that they were using the location for some filming. So P’s mom suggested the Providence Place Mall and the attached walkway and Westin hotel. Brilliant and total thinking outside of the box! I have to say it actually worked out great! P was a delight to work with which doesn’t always happen with three year olds (as I can personally attest to). Mom and Grandma even got in on the action as well, singing and dancing and getting into pictures. How special to include three generations in the photos! Overall, even though plans had to be rearranged, I love what came out of it!!
And yes ladies, according to him, he does NOT have a girlfriend and IS single 😉
And one last one to prove to B’s mother that the camera DOES like her. Aren’t they beautiful?
