Traditional Sessions are the OG of New England photography.  Much more typical when one hears the term “portrait photography” these sessions are…well…traditional.  The session consists much more of the “look at me and smile” instead of the in-between.  It’s a much more cut and dry session.  Not that we don’t have fun – we still will.  It is just a different approach than the storyteller sessions.  Perhaps you are limited in time, or just want to get some updated wall portraits done.  Maybe you are more drawn to images of everyone looking and smiling perfectly at the camera.  This is the session for you.

Traditional sessions take place at a location of your choosing.  Lasting roughly forty-five minutes to an hour, they result in 25-30 unique images for your gallery.  We will move around a bit within the location to get some different looks for the images, and I will work with kids and parents individually and together.  If you have ever been in a wedding, think of it similar to doing wedding party images but with a bit more fun and some silliness sprinkled in as needed!

Traditional sessions include no prints or digital files.  Instead they consist of a session retainer for the session itself, and then you may choose to purchase any items you wish.  All traditional sessions have an in-person image reveal and ordering session to assist you in making your purchases.  Approximately two weeks after your session we meet again at your house where you will see your gallery and choose your prints and products that you wish to order.  (Please note, there is no online gallery or ordering component to this session and all sales are completed at the ordering session.)
