When people ask about clothes, I’ll often give them my thoughts and then send them to a paint website.  Yup, that’s right.  A paint website.  The reason for this is that most sites (I use behr.com) offer the option to pick a color and then they will give you coordinating color looks.  This is a GREAT way to pick colors for outfits!  If you know one color you like, you can pick others from a swatch and go from there.  So that is what I did this week.  I knew I wanted to step away from the brown 🙂 so I went with one of the hot fall colors – purple.  I didn’t want to do black because it was too dark for what I wanted, so I ended up with grey.  I think of grey and cable knit and I think of soft and fuzzy.  Then it just took scrolling through some swatches until I found what I wanted – that extra little pop of color in there, which ended up being green.  The three colors actually work really well together, even though you don’t think at first glance they would.  They all complement each other very nicely.

So today I have almost all clothes from Boden again.  Love them!  (Dad’s jeans are from Gap though.)  First we have the pop of color on mom’s shoes, along with a nice structured jacket to give her shape and hide flaws in the waist/hip area.  For dad, a shirt that features bolder green stripes with an indigo/purple secondary stripe.  Nice dark jeans and black shoes.  Then for big girl, a funky look.  A dress layered over a striped long sleeve tee (again, you have both the purple and green) with footless grey leggings (pulling grey from the tee) and then I’d finish with ballet flats.  And for baby girl, a nice little jumper with a layered tee and thick purple tights.  For the girl I’d either do simple little mary janes or funky black rain boots.
