Mine on Monday | Rhode Island Family Photography

Two posts in one day – I know, I know.  Amazing!!  🙂  I was working on my PowerPoint for the workshop this Saturday and Nolan was kind enough to let me take a few photos of him so that I could demonstrate some concepts.  While I was shooting, I got this and it just melted my heart.  ::love::  If you are coming Saturday, you’ll see this image again.  Just pretend you didn’t.

And FINALLY.  I have a photo of his unbelievable lashes.  I seriously want to put mascara on them just to *see* what it would look like.

Sweet Baby Girl | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

I put one up on Friday, but here are a few more of the sweetheart I got to spend Friday morning with.  I showed up to do the newborn session and found a gorgeous light-filled loft awaiting me.  🙂  Love me some good lighting.  And of course a beautiful, sweet and very wonderfully tempered baby girl doesn’t hurt either!  I spent three hours with little L and we got a great variety of shots.  Asleep, awake, curled up, stretched out, lots and lots of different looks.  I had an absolutely delightful time with L. and her mom and dad (and aunt!)  Enjoy the photos of this precious little girl – what more of a perfect way is there to start a Monday morning???

Quiet Moments | Rhode Island Family Photography

I had a session this morning with one of my favorite families.  But this time it was a different session in that Lynn just wanted some nice quiet photos with her younger daughter, G., 15 months.  We both know all too well, having older kids, that these moments when they are little are just SO fleeting and SO precious.  And she wanted to capture them.   When she first contacted me for the session we were worried that perhaps G., being 15 months old, would be just too curious about me, but that was not the case at all.  And I got to do a session that I can already tell I absolutely adore.  I love the emotion and the love in these two – they jumped out at me as I was looking quickly through the files.

What to Wear 1.27.10 | Rhode Island Family Photography

Forgive the mixing of white and grey backgrounds here.  I know it’s ugly but it is the overall look that I am going for.  And what is that look?  Greece.  Well, at least summering in the Greek islands type of thing.  I went with a blue and white theme with a splash of red.  I saw the little girl’s outfit and loved it then saw the boy’s shirt and thought it was adorable (btw that is a faux-button shirt – it’s all one piece!).  Then it was just a matter of mixing in mom and dad.  Elegant, casual, refined, classy.  (Except I’d do nice sandals on dad.)  Love it!!
