This is the fourth year I’ve photographed this family…but not the last. We’ve already made arrangements for me to come back from Connecticut next fall! I have absolutely LOVED watching these kids grow up in front of my camera – something that is just an honor to be invited back over and over to do. I cannot believe how big they are now, we started when the youngest was just a gummy, drooly, super happy 3 month old. And now – beautiful children and a beautiful family. When mom asked for a morning beach session it was definitely outside of my norm as I usually only do evenings at the beach. But we started at 8am and the light was fabulous – and having an empty beach with what turned out to be a gorgeous, warm, sunny day didn’t hurt things, either.

Fall Holiday Mini Sessions! (And a huge announcement)

Would you love a photo session but don’t have the time / money for a full session, or do you just need a few new photos done, whether it be for gifts for family members, or to use for your holiday cards?? If so, an Amy Ro mini session is perfect for you!! I am offering two styles of mini sessions this year :

“Urban Sessions” on Saturday October 5 or “Field Sessions” on Saturday October 26.

The Urban Fall Holiday Mini

The Urban option is perfect for those clients wanting a more “urban” look to their photos. Think brick sidewalks, buildings, bridges, the river and, of course, downtown Providence behind you. These sessions will be held on Saturday October 5, 2013 in the morning and evening in Memorial Park and the surrounding city areas on South Main Street. This has become one of my favorite places to shoot sessions!!! (Also see my most recent session I did HERE) Rain date is Saturday, October 19.

The Field Fall Holiday Mini

The Field option is perfect for those of you wanting the more traditional foliage photos in the woods. Think leaves (hoping we have better color this year!), trees and bushes for a more “rural” look to your images. These sessions will be held at beautiful Lincoln Woods on Saturday October 26, 2013 in both the morning and evening. Rain date is Saturday, November 2.

Booking Your Fall Holiday Mini Session

Booking is SUPER easy this year. It is all online now – you sign up, you select your date, time and package and boom! All set! The online booking forms can be accessed here:

Only available times will show as options. The system can take you directly into PayPal to submit your payment upon completion of your booking to make things easier. OH! And one super super important last thing you should know when you’re thinking about booking…

As of the beginning of November, my family and I will be moving to Connecticut. My husband was offered his dream job in his hometown in the New Haven area and we simply could not turn it down. It has always been his dream to teach OB-Gyn residents and this position offers him just that, AND will also allow us to be closer to family. It has all happened very quickly as they want him there yesterday! We have loved our time in Rhode Island and I have absolutely LOVED my clients. No fear, I will still be taking newborn sessions in the Rhode Island area (even up into MA for those awesome Amy Ro clients I know and love) but will likely not be doing any more family sessions unless it were to be a similar mini session day. On that other hand, I will not be that far away (except in RI’er terms!!) and you are always welcome to travel to me as well. 🙂

SO, not to say that this is your absolute last chance to have an Amy Ro family session…but yeah…I guess it kind of is. So think about it and I hope to see some of you one more time (or meet you for the first time!!) before we leave. Thank you for everything!!!!!

Ana – 36 Weeks | Rhode Island Maternity Photography

Ana and her two adorable boys met me in downtown Providence for a quick maternity session last weekend. We shot from when the sun had just set behind the buildings until it was almost gone – I love the different lighting we had throughout! And I love love love this location!! 🙂 And of course the subject — Ana was stunning at almost 36 weeks pregnant!! Big brothers can’t wait to meet their new little brother or sister in a few weeks and neither can I.

Victoria – 6 Days | Rhode Island Newborn Photography

I am honestly not sure I have the words to write this post. Seeing this family welcome their first little girl after four boys – amazing. Seeing the boys react to her, always wanting to see her, touch her, love her – awesome. Seeing a dad with his first little girl after four awesome boys – so incredibly touching. Seeing four generations of women together in one photo – tear-inducing. We had it all when we did these shoots, spread out over two sessions and just over a week apart. I could NOT be more thrilled for them than I am. I think I’ll just step back and let some of my favorite photos tell the story this time.

Owen – 6 Days | Rhode Island Newborn photography

I had the privilege of shooting Baby Owen’s session earlier this week when he was only 6 days old. I was really dying to do a much more lifestyle slant to the images so I left the beanbag at home. And I love love what we got. They had the *perfect* yard for some gorgeous outdoor images, dad even hung the swing up so we could use it – I bet he’ll be happy he did! We also did some images in the amazing nautical-themed nursery that they put together – so so cute! I know they were excited to see the photos so I won’t write too much mure. BUT before I go I must take a moment and say how big brother was perhaps the BEST two year old I have ever ever worked with. He was amazing. He did such a good job listening and being a loving big brother!! I could have worked with him all day long.

Thank you thank you thank you A family for letting me come into your lives and your home for a few hours to capture these moments 🙂
